Rafting on Bali’s Telaga Waja River with its class III+ rapids is the more challenging river rafting tour on Bali. Located near the village of Muncan the clear and fresh waters of the Telaga Waja River begin in the foothills of Mt. Agung. In addition to being a life giving source of water for daily needs of the villagers and irrigation for the rice fields of Gianyar the river has become a popular for white water rafting and it’s exciting rapids including the 3 metre drop at Bajing Dam.

The Telaga Waja River carries you on an memorable journey through lush jungle terrain and past Bali’s emerald green rice paddy and two powerful waterfalls. Not being as wide or as deep as the Ayung River, rafts on the Talaga Waja River are smaller and carry fewer people. As well with its class III+ rapids the 14-16 km ride is ‘faster’ will push your adrenaline to a higher level. Time on the river is approximately 2-2.5 hours.

Note. This rafting adventure is limited to children over six years of age and adults under 65 years of age. As well be advised that in order to get to the river valley you will need to descend a stairway. All the same at the end of the journey you will need to ascend a stairway to get back to the main road. Whilst the climb is not as steep as at Ayung River nonetheless this tour is not advised for those with ambulatory issues.
